Privacy policy

XT Motorsports ("we," "us," "our") operates xtmotorsports.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit or buy from our store, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, add a vehicle to your garage, contact us, request a return, leave a review or sign up for emails or texts, we collect what you provide: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, order details, vehicle year, make, model and any notes or messages you send. Payment details are collected by our payment processors, not by us. We never see or store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we receive your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring site, the pages you view, the products you look at and how you interact with the site. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.

Information from other sources. We may receive information from payment processors, fraud prevention services, shipping carriers and our suppliers, such as confirmation that a payment cleared or that a package was delivered.

How we use it

  • To process and ship your orders, send order confirmations and tracking, and handle returns and warranty claims
  • To confirm fitment and answer product questions, using the vehicle information you give us
  • To run your account, garage and rewards balance
  • To screen orders for fraud and protect our store and customers
  • To send marketing emails or texts if you've opted in (you can opt out at any time)
  • To improve the site, understand which products and pages are popular and fix problems
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to run the business:

  • Fulfillment partners. Most of our orders ship directly from our distribution partners' warehouses. To do that we send them your name, shipping address, phone number and the items ordered. They use it only to ship your order.
  • Shopify. Our store runs on Shopify, which hosts the site and stores customer and order data on our behalf. See Shopify's privacy policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
  • Payment processors. Shopify Payments, PayPal, Shop Pay and similar services process your payment under their own privacy policies and PCI-DSS security standards.
  • Shipping carriers. UPS, FedEx, USPS and freight carriers receive your address and phone number to deliver your order.
  • Service providers. Email and SMS platforms, analytics, fraud screening, customer support tools and review platforms that work for us and are only allowed to use your data to provide their service.
  • Legal. We disclose information when required by law, subpoena or court order, to protect our rights, or to prevent fraud or harm.
  • Business transfers. If we sell or merge the business, customer information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, remember your login and selected vehicle, measure traffic and understand how the site is used. Shopify sets cookies needed to run the store (session, cart, visit counting). We also use analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, which may set their own cookies and collect information about your visits across sites to measure and personalize ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising at optout.aboutads.info or through Google's ad settings. Blocking cookies may affect parts of the site such as checkout.

Email and text marketing

If you subscribe, we'll send you promotions, new product news and offers by email. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts at the number you provided. Consent isn't a condition of purchase, message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Transactional messages about your order (confirmation, shipping, delivery) are sent regardless of marketing preferences.

Your choices and rights

You can update your account details, change your marketing preferences or delete your saved vehicles at any time by logging in or contacting us. You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you
  • Correct information that's wrong
  • Delete your personal information, subject to records we're required to keep for orders, taxes, fraud prevention and disputes
  • Stop sending you marketing

To make a request, email sales@xtmotorsports.com with the subject "Privacy Request." We'll verify your identity before acting on it and respond within the time required by law. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.

California residents have the rights above under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell personal information. Because some advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under California law, you can opt out by adjusting your cookie settings or emailing us. You may also designate an authorized agent to make requests for you.

Residents of other U.S. states with privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others) have similar rights and can use the same contact method.

Data retention

We keep order and account information for as long as you have an account and as long as needed to handle returns, warranty claims, accounting, tax and legal requirements, which is generally seven years for transaction records. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Security

We use industry standard safeguards to protect your information, including SSL encryption on all pages, PCI-DSS compliant payment processing and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. Keep your account password confidential and let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

International visitors

We're located in the United States and our systems and service providers are primarily in the U.S. If you use the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from your country's.

Children

The site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Third party links

The site may link to manufacturer sites, installation guides or other resources. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. Read their policies before providing information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted here, and where required we'll notify you by email. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
